Meet the St.Ignatius Staff
Rev. Scott Landane - Deacon
Deacon Scott Landane was born and raised in Bay City, MI, and is a convert to Catholicism. He attended Michigan State University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Mgt. He and his wife Karen have two adult daughters and three grandchildren. After living in Atlanta, MI and managing a business for 27 years they have retired and relocated to Rogers City and are members of St. Ignatius Parish. Deacon Scott answered the call to the deaconate and was ordained a permanent deacon by Bishop Raica in November 2015. Deacon and his wife Karen are pleased to have answered the Lord’s call to go and serve the widows and orphans of our community and the parish of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish.

Jacqui Hein - Bookkeeper
Jacqui attended St. Ignatius School for eight years, graduated from Rogers City High School in 2008 and served in the Air Force for five years. She is now married to Nick Hein and they have four children: Jocelyn-11, Hailey-4, Benjamin-2 and Isla-1. Finances and bookkeeping have always been a passion of Jacqui's and she is excited to be part of the bright future ahead for St. Ignatius Parish.

Heather Ryan - School Principal
Heather Ryan has been a member of St. Ignatius Parish for the past thirty years . She taught middle school in both Alpena and at St. Ignatius for a total of ten years before fulfilling the role as principal in 2021. Along with her role as principal, she teaches 2nd and 3rd grade religion class. She graduated from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and is pursuing an Administrators Certificate through the MASSP. She resides in Rogers City with her husband Luke and daughter, Amber.

Bernadette Shafto - Parish Secretary
Bernadette Shafto has been a member of St. Ignatius Parish for sixteen years and parish secretary since April of 2014. Her love of God’s Word and His people has drawn her to serve as a leader in bible studies as well teaching and leading a parish prayer group. She and her husband of thirty years, David, currently serve as Eucharistic Ministers and Ministers to the homebound. They have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.

Shannon Wilbert - Parish Catechetical Leader
Shannon Wilbert ministers as the parish Catechetical Leader. She has worked at St. Ignatius since March of 2014 leading high school youth ministry and preparing parents and students to receive the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, reconciliation, and first holy communion. She has recently started working with the RCIA - Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. Shannon also has devoted over eighteen years to the Vacation Bible School program at St. Ignatius.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University. The mother of five sons, Shannon has been an active volunteer at the parish and school. She and her husband Edward have been members of the parish for twenty-six years.
